Sweet and Sour Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
| Brussels Sprouts, Quartered | 1 lb |
| Olive Oil | 1 tbsp |
| Salt | 1/2 tsp |
| Pepper | 1/2 tsp |
| Sweet and Sour Sauce | 2 tbsp |
Process
- Preheat oven to 400℉.
- Toss sprouts with oil salt and pepper until thoroughly coated.
- Spread sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast sprouts for roughly 20 minutes, until nicely charred, but not burned
- Allow sprouts to rest and cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then toss with sweet and sour sauce to coat.
Sweet and Sour Sauce
Ingredients
| Soy Sauce | 1/2 Cup |
| Sherry Vinegar | 1/2 Cup |
| Dark Molasses | 1/2 Cup |
| Red Pepper Flakes | 1/2 tsp |
| Garlic, Minced | 5-10 Cloves(to taste) |
| Ginger, Minced | 1/4 Cup |
Process
- Mix all ingredients in a small sauce pan.
- Bring to a simmer on medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 50 minutes to 1 hour, swirling evry 5 minutes or so to prevent burning.
- Yields roughly 1 cup of sauce. Keeps indefinitely.
